GILLIAN ANN BARTLE
It is with great sadness we share the news that our dear Mum passed away on Mother's Day after a short stay in hospital.
Mum was 85 and had lived a wonderfully full life. Mum’s family were her world and she loved every single one of us so unconditionally. An end of an era where she was the matriarch of our family and we are truly blessed for the most incredible legacy that she and Dad left us, having enriched us with fabulous memories to treasure and stories to tell forever.
We will miss her so very very much and she will leave a massive hole in our lives. She had so many friends in the Mitre Players, at the TMWA and through working at Gresham Primary School for over 35 years. Thank you for the overwhelming number of heartfelt messages we have received already from the incredible number of friends Mum touched throughout her life.
We will love you forever - Be happy now you are at peace with our lovely Daddy.
A celebration of Gillian Ann Bartle's life
There will be a short Committal service at Croydon Crematorium, in the West Chapel on Thursday 25th April 2024 at 10am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at Emmanuel Church at 11:30am. You are welcome to attend either or both services but the main tributes will be during the church service. Afterwards, all are warmly invited to TSSSC, Lime Meadow Avenue, Sanderstead for refreshments. We are hoping both services will be available online so please check back here for details nearer the time.
Dress Code: Please wear whatever you are comfortable in - no need to wear black unless you want to. Gillian loved bright colours and her favourites were blue & purple.
Family flowers only please but you are invited to make a donation in Gillian's memory to Versus Arthritis or The Stroke Association.
